Donald Trump, in his speech at Mar-a-Lago, launched a scathing personal attack against Alvin Bragg, the New York County District Attorney, accusing him of targeting him even before getting to know him.
For those wondering who Alvin Bragg is, he became part of history as an African American elected New York County District Attorney.
Assuming office at the beginning of 2022, Bragg has already begun implementing his campaign pledges of reducing incarceration by investing in alternatives and increasing the prosecution of white-collar and public corruption cases.
During his campaign, Bragg highlighted his life experiences as a New Yorker from Harlem during the 1980s crack cocaine epidemic. Having had encounters with gun-wielding police officers and experiencing the trauma of encountering homicide victims at his doorstep, Bragg’s life experiences ignited his desire to bring about prosecutor reform.
